After a trip to Piedmont, Dan was impressed with some high quality Barbera wines, and talked about how they get caught in the shadow of Nebbiolo and are under appreciated. Our friend David, is a big fan of Barolo, and for year’s we’ve talked about doing a show discussing Barbera wines of his choice. He picked two from highly respected Barolo producers, and it was great to check them out. We taste the 2012 Giacomo Conterno Barbera d’Alba Francia, and the 2012 Bartolo Mascarello Barbera d’Alba. Do you lean more towards traditional or modern Barolo producers?
