Episode 163: The Search For The Great American Riesling 14
January 7, 2013
Dan tasted one Riesling over Thanksgiving weekend that he wanted to share, and Chas picked up two more bottles from 2011 to make the show. We hope to be doing more of these in 2013. We’ve got two bottles from Oregon and one from Washington this week with the 2011 Eroica from Chateau Ste. Michelle and Dr. Loosen, the 2011 Love and Squalor Willamette Valley Riesling, and the 2011 Trisaetum Estates Reserve Riesling.
What summer activity are you looking forward to most?
Episode 99: The Search For The Great American Riesling 14 – 2009 Oregon and Washington
August 9, 2011
Continuing our run of current release wines from the area, we grabbed 3 more Rieslings to check out. Two are from Oregon, the 2009 Love and Squalor Riesling, and the 2009 Bethel Heights Riesling, and the 2009 Owen Roe Riesling is made from Washington fruit. The three wines represent a good range of styles and proved to be enjoyable. This will be the last show until October when Dan gets back from a long vacation. Hopefully there will be some decent tasting notes posted in the meantime, but we really look forward to celebrating episode 100 with you all when we start up again.
If you could travel anywhere to tour wineries, where would you go?
